Google buys Motorola handset division for nearly $13bn

Google’s purchase of Motorola Mobility for $12.5bn gives Google ownership of 17,000 mobile patents, with thousands more that are still pending. “We welcome the news of today’s acquisition,” said HTC chief executive Peter Chou, “which demonstrates that Google is deeply committed to defending Android, its partners, and the entire ecosystem.” SOURCE: Casino En Ligne
