Beginner tips for Sports Betting
Feb 13th, 2007 by grego
Since a couple of years, Sports Betting has become very popular thanks to the enormous possibilities offered by bookmakers. But most people don’t know that Sports Betting is much more than only choosing for the right team/player to win. This is why I will provide you with some great beginner tips:
1. Always be objective. Don’t play on your favourite team because you THINK they are favorite but find the right reasons to choose a team. There is a difference between information you think is correct and information that appears in newspapers. Don’t forget you play with money!
2. Keep your stakes low at the beginning. Don’t aim too high at first. NEVER make combo’s of more than 5-6 games since they only have a very small chance to success. If you want to bet during live events, the best way to gamble is to place bets with small stakes. Since you are new to this “game”, you should do this until you have found out how bookies will react on certain occasions during the live event.
3. Read and Analyze. This is perhaps the most important tip I can give you. Look up statistics H2H (Head To Head games) and try to find trends. Statistics never lie! For example: Most teams have almost always troubles when facing a specific opponent.
Next time I will be talking about the best (online) sports betting bookmakers. Most bookies offer a relatively high sign-up bonus but not all of them are reliable. I will give you a list of the best bookies that also offer the best customer service…
